Highly versatile front sun canopy |

Most caravanners use their awning as a conservatory, but by doing so they lose out on the opportunity to use it as a porch or a terrace. This has led Europe’s largest specialist awnings manufacturer, the Danish Isabella factory in Vejle, to design an advanced sun canopy which offers the exact features requested by countless caravanners. The new front sun canopy is available as an optional extra. It is designed to be mounted on the front of an awning, and fits most Isabella awnings with standard fronts and A-measurements (ground-to-ground measurements) from 750–1125 cm. However the sun canopy is much more than a traditional sun canopy, since Isabella also offers optional add-on side panels with windows. These rapidly turn the canopy into a shady retreat where caravanners can enjoy the view in comfort, out of the wind and weather. The front sun canopy also provides protection from the conditions. The front sun canopy is mounted using a specially constructed pole system. The roof poles are fitted onto the poles that bear the awning canopy. The Zinox poles used for Isabella’s front sun canopy are thinner and lighter than its standard awning poles since the load on them is smaller, but the system is extremely stable due to the casing at the front and the double click profiles that lock the roof to the sides of the poles. The click profiles also mean that it is quick and simple to fit one or two side panels onto the sun canopy. The sides are interchangeable and may be mounted on the right or left side as required. |

The front sun canopy and the optional sides have been designed in Isabella’s unique style to form an integral whole with the awning. The canvas is made of coated polyester in shades of grey. Isabella’s range also includes a windscreen in the same material. Known as Sun, the windscreen measures 460 x 130 cm. and retails at approx. GBP £118. The RRP for the front sun canopy is approx. GBP £250. Side sections are available for approx. GBP £65. Pegs and guy ropes are included. |

During our unpredictable summers, it is good to be able to add a side section to the sun canopy to provide shelter from the wind and weather. |
