The many caravanners who would like more space but who do not necessarily wish to acquire one of the larger awnings on the market have made the Danish Isabella factory’s Commodore series one of the most popular awnings in Europe over the past few years. All Commodore awnings are three metres deep compared with 2.5 metres, which is the norm for standard awnings, and that extra bit of space is precisely what many caravanners are after. The latest addition to the range is the Commodore Alpha Royal, characterised by its eye-catching royal blue colour and new curtain design. The Commodore Alpha has been redesigned and now features larger window openings which allow more light than ever into the awning. The practical mosquito net panels on either side of the window section at the front keep insects at bay – something which is much appreciated by caravanners on warm summer evenings when creepy-crawlies can get a little too close for comfort. Touring caravanners may wish to consider the light-weight CarbonX fibreglass frame, especially since the poles are also suitable for Isabella’s practical Sun Blue sun canopy. The canopy, which is available with sides that offer protection from the wind, can be installed rapidly on days when there is no need to erect the awning itself. The Sun Blue sun canopy is available as an accessory from Isabella. The front of the Commodore Alpha is covered by a canopy which is wider in the centre and extends as far as the ground on both sides. raining, which contributes to a comfortable indoor climate. Both the sides and the front may be removed or rolled down half-way as and when required. In addition to the Alpha Royal, the Commodore range encompasses the Alfa Tweed and the Classic. The Commodore range is available for caravans of all sizes, and a wealth of original accessories are on offer including gutters, annexes, inner tents, a range of sun canopies and a door canopy for the side. |
