A clever new partition for awning tents meets a long-sought-after demand among modern campers.

The trend for larger caravans and awning tents has created new needs among campers. At the same time many campers use their caravans not just in the high season, but all year round.

Over the years, the combination of larger awning tents and camping at cooler times of the year has made more and more campers look for an easy and flexible way to divide their awning tents.

'We’ve listened to the campers and have launched a partition that not only makes it easier to heat awning tents on cold days, but also lets you use your tent in a more flexible way’, says Morten Kjeldsen from Europe’s largest manufacturer of awning tents, the Danish company Isabella.

The partition is designed like a typical end wall of an awning tent, only it is fitted in the middle of the tent. And of course it has a window and an entrance, and can be fitted with curtains.

'It’s all about wellbeing’, says Morten Kjeldsen. ‘When we’re at the camping site, we spend 80% of our waking hours in the awning tent. That’s where we spend time with our family and friends. It’s where we relax and have a good time, so it’s important that the tent as a whole is functional.

'Dividing the tent makes it a lot easier to heat up the part we actually use. The other half can then be used as a kind of entrance hall. You can put the pram and the kids’ bikes there, or turn it into a covered veranda by detaching the tent’s end wall and opening the side up.’

Once the partition with its support pole is mounted over the tent’s middle pole, it is easy to zip on and off. The window can be opened halfway with a veranda pole, giving an open view of the veranda and the goings-on outside.

'And it’s easy to set up’, says Morten Kjeldsen. ‘You do it after you set up the awning tent. This means you can wait until the weather suddenly changes and it gets cooler.So all in all, our partition is an extremely flexible solution to a widespread need, and one that痴 easy to use for all campers.

The partition is available for Isabella’s awning tents in two sizes: 2.5 and three metres deep.
