Isabella: The most tried and tested awnings in Europe
The extensive range of awnings now on offer from the Danish Isabella factory for 2006 are, without a doubt, the most tried and tested on the market. The incredible quality of both the materials and the workmanship serves only to underline Isabella’s leading position in Europe. The 2006 range from Isabella features a number of exciting improvements. The most interesting of these is no doubt the new, improved version of Isabella’s large pentagonal Penta awning. The first Penta awning saw the light more than 20 years ago. The latest version boasts a number of innovative features, including new entrance options – the doors may now be placed in the side of your choice since the corner sections and sides are interchangeable. A mosquito net section is included in one side. The Penta awning, with its unique roof light panels, is now also available in a new colour combination of tweed/Cambridge blue. The curtains come in a new light dot jacquard design, a move away from Isabella’s usual bright-coloured curtains. Isabella’s other large awning, the Forum, is also available in tweed/Cambridge blue. With a depth of 3.5 metres, the Forum is the largest awning on the market. It may, in fact, be extended even further by the addition of a front sun canopy. The Forum’s characteristic arched front, inspired by Spanish haciendas, is extremely versatile. Parts of the front, or the entire front, may be recessed towards the caravan to create a covered patio area offering shelter from sun, rain and wind. The Commodore models are the most popular awnings on the market. The two existing models, the Commodore Alpha and the Commodore Classic, have been joined by the Commodore Royal, which is available in tweed/flax. models ensure that the interior is bright and welcoming. The Alpha models have built-in mosquito nets in the front, and a large adjustable mosquito net panel in the right-hand side. The Classic model, which is available in a new colour combination of tweed/Cambridge blue, has large adjustable matte mosquito net panels in the sides towards the caravan. The slightly smaller Ambassador series comprises two different models, namely the Alpha and the Crown Gold. The first features the classic arched Alpha front window design, and both have built-in mosquito net panels. The awning of choice for many touring caravanners, the 2.5 metre-deep Capri Lux, will be available in three exciting colour combinations in 2006. A new marine/Cambridge blue combination has been added to the existing forest fern/wheat and burgundy/light grey options. When it comes to porches for year-round use, the real innovation is the Universal 420, which offers an excellent alternative to the ever larger caravans with its base dimensions of 440 x 230 cm. Despite its size, the Universal 420 will stand firm in any weather all year round, just like its slightly smaller cousins, the Universal 360, Universal 300 and Universal 240. Weekend caravanners who are looking for a light awning which is easy to erect are spoilt for choice with Isabella’s Magnum Blue and Minor Blue. Those who want winter awnings can choose between the Snowboy and the Capri Snow, both of which are available in Oxford blue/grey. In addition to the many different awnings, Isabella’s products include sun canopies and a comprehensive range of other accessories ranging from the Zenith – a sun canopy designed for touring which doubles as sun canopy and awning – to highly versatile annexes, sun blinds and windscreens.
