New man at the helm at Isabella in Vejle | |

Niels Foss, aged 50, has been appointed managing director of Europe’s largest specialist awnings manufacturer, the Danish Isabella factory in Vejle – partly to enhance the strength of the company’s management team, and partly to bolster Isabella’s position on the international market. Niels Foss is by no means new to the camping industry, or to Jydsk Camping Industri A/S, owner of Isabella, having been a member of the board of directors of Jydsk Camping Industri A/S and the Isabella Foundation for a number of years. His appointment is part of the succession process currently being implemented at the Vejle-based company following the death last year of the company’s founder, manufacturer Søren Odgaard. Niels Foss will head a number of major initiatives designed to secure and enhance Isabella’s international position in the near future. Niels Foss will be head of a management team that includes the current management, technical manager Peder Odgaard, production manager Ivan Odgaard and sales and marketing manager Carsten Dyg. Peder and Ivan Odgaard are sons of Isabella’s founder, Søren Odgaard. Niels Foss has studied and worked many years abroad, and is well qualified to steer the company following his most recent position as executive chairman of Elvstrøms Sobstad A/S in Aabenraa. He can also draw on his wealth of business experience as managing director of, among others, Jørgen Kruuse A/S in Odense, B.V. Wernerfelt A/S in Søborg, Sagatex A/S in Norway and A/S O. Foss Fabriker in Odense, which he still owns. In addition, he sits on the boards of a number of Nordic companies. | ||||
