Like nicotine and cooking odour, gas burn off from catalitic ovens can release a substance, which attaches to the awning and provides a breeding ground for mould. Gas heat in the awning can smell like cooking, and cause "damp-stains" on the inside of the roof. Besides heat these Gas burning catalytic ovens can create 1.6 litres water/kg gas. At the same time a sticky sulphur/hydrogen compound is developed from unburned substances (a sulphur compound, which is added to the gas, so that you can smell leaking gas). When the vapours and the sticky compound occur in condensation on the inside of the roof they causes algae and dirt to stick. Very unappetizing to look at and to smell. Lots of water and a soft brush can remove 90% of this problem, the clean roof should treated with AquaTex special impregnator. For winter awnings a special Isabella Inner roof is only available. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
