Prepared against mosquito attack
Most caravanners know only too well the problem with insects during the evening and at night. Particularly in warmer climes, caravanners are in a no-win situation, enduring either the oppressive heat in a hermetically closed awning and caravan or being disturbed and bitten by insects that are let in with the cooling night air. This Catch 22 scenario was one of the priority issues when designers at the Isabella awning factory in Denmark started redesigning the Alpha range. Their efforts resulted in a large mosquito net window in the right-hand side and two mosquito net panels in the front of the awning. In this way, caravanners are provided with maximum ventilation options without, in turn, being exposed to mosquito attacks. It is also worth bearing in mind that these excellent ventilation options contribute to an even better indoor climate and reduce the amount of condensation in the awning and thereby the humidity. The Alpha range has two models, the Ambassador Alpha and Commodore Alpha. The most significant difference between the two models is that the Ambassador has a depth of 2.5 metres, whereas the Commodore is 3 metres deep. The redesigned Alpha range features, for instance, taller window panels with curved top edges, maximising the amount of light getting into the awning in addition to providing a modern look. Another feature of the new design is a deeper canopy, which continues to the ground on either side. One of the advantages of this construction is that the front of the awning can be left open even if it rains.
Both Alpha models have six entrances, two at the front and two in either side. This extra flexibility proves very useful when weather conditions make one entrance much more appropriate than another, and it is also a great help when organising the interior of the awning. The Ambassador Alpha comes in a tweed/sky blue colour combination, while the Commodore Alfa is available in tweed/flax. Both colour combinations are timeless and practical in use.
