Continuous development for 20 years

That veteran of awnings for permanent pitching, Isabellaユs pentagonal Penta, continues to develop. Since the first Penta awning saw the light of day more than 20 years ago, the model has been thoroughly revamped and modernised. The 2006 model thus offers a number of exciting new features, while the characteristic pentagonal shape and highly stable design remain unchanged.

The most interesting development is that the standard model is now supplied with an adjustable mosquito net window in one side panel and a real door in one corner section. The two sections are designed so that caravanners can decide in which side they wish to put the mosquito net window and the door. This enables owners to take full advantage of incoming light, and allows for greater flexibility when it comes to arranging furniture inside the awning.

In another new development for 2006, the light panels in the roof are no longer made of a plastic material as previously, but of the same material as the roof itself. This has significantly reduced the risk of condensation from the roof. The roof is made of a sturdy coated polyester canvas.

Essentially, the Penta is an extremely elegant covered patio with its beautiful tweed/Cambridge blue canvas and honey-coloured dot jacquard curtains. The new curtains in particular give a light, modern feel to the interior of the awning.

A great deal has happened over the years as far as the interior climate is concerned. The most comfortable climate is achieved with the use of a real awning carpet combined with an insulating ComfortCarpet and a tarpaulin on top of a so-called FiberTex GroundCover, which should project around 15 to 25 cm beyond the awning all the way round. Apart from keeping moisture and cold at bay, the GroundCover

also protects the sides of the awning against mud splashes, and prevents grass from growing around the straps. It protects the mud flaps and generally reduces the amount of external cleaning required.

Isabella has produced a wide range of accessories for the Penta. These include door canopies which are equally useful whether keeping out the rain or protecting against the sun. There are also annexes for both sides, an inner tent which may be used as a bedroom or for storage, and mosquito nets for the corner section, which are fitted behind the existing window.

The 2006 Penta is the most elegant awning for permanent pitching on the market. In the illustration, the Penta has been erected on a so-called GroundCover, which projects beyond the edge of the awning for practical reasons.
