The awning is damp-stained | Was wet when packed away and not hung up to dry within 2/3 days | The canvas must be completely dry before it is packed away. The storage place should be dry, well ventilated, and have an even temperature i.e. not too hot and not too cold. |
Gathers in the front edge between roof and canopy | Bad tensioning | If possible, the front is rolled down and the poles tensioned (maybe with Hercules). Check that the seams are taut. |
The sides are very slack | - The awning is tensioned badly, or
- the awning is too big, or
- the caravan is placed wrongly (too low) | Tensioning of all poles. Pegging, so that the lower panel is tensioned. Check that the distance from the lower panel of the awning to the ground is at least 12 cm, so that the pull of the rubbers is used to full effect. |
The sides do not reach the ground | - The caravan is raised too much, or | Place the caravan on even ground without lifting it unnecessarily. |
- the awning is too small for the caravan | Check the A-measurement of the caravan and the awning. |
White spots on the PVC-material | - Weather/air influence | Check it yourself in a magnifying glass. It is probably eggs from insects, which are easily removed by means of Aqua- Tex impregnator spray, a small nail brush and a soft cloth. |
Light spots in the roof | - Wear and tear, or | Can be small wear marks in the outside coating. Normally this does not affect the performance or durability of the roof. May be repaired with repair paste (applied externally). |
- mould/damp-stains | For mould and damp-stains we recommend internal spraying with water and re-impregnation with AquaTex or, in very bad cases, changing the roof. |
Marks on windows. Cloudy windows | - untidy folding up, or
- bad tensioning | Good tensioning and heat will help to diminish the marks. With present technology, deeper marks cannot be avoided. |
