The sun canopy that doubles as an awning |
|
Some caravanners use it together with their stationary awning, while others use it on its own as a light awning when travelling. The new Zenith Lux sun canopy from Europe’s largest specialist awnings manufacturer, the Danish Isabella factory in Vejle, can be transformed in seconds from a shady sun canopy to a light awning. Although the Zenith Lux really comes into its own under the southern sun, it is equally ideal for short caravan trips. The Zenith Lux, which is a further development of Isabella’s Standard version, features a framed canopy designed to prevent rain and dirt from the roof staining the front. The Lux version comes complete with removable side and front panels. The side panels are equipped with integral mosquito nets with foil covers which keep out annoying bugs and provide additional ventilation, especially when combined with an open wheel arch cover. An optional partition wall can be used to divide the canopy, transforming half the space into a light awning. Caravanners who want additional shade can easily add Isabella’s new front sun canopy with a side section. Both the roof and the sides are made of coated polyester in a cool combination of steel blue and pearl shades. Curtains are not supplied as standard but are available as an optional extra. |

Caravanners can choose between the latest light-weight CarbonX carbon fibre-reinforced fibreglass poles and the slightly heavier Zinox steel poles. Those who already have an Isabella awning with light-weight poles can purchase the Zenith without poles – even those from the large three-metre deep Commodore awning may be used. Please note, however, that the canopy of the Zenith is slightly narrower and that three short poles are therefore required. |
