In 2001, caravan manufacturer Tabbert introduced a new two-person life-style caravan. Tabbert invited three leading European awning manufacturers to design a sun canopy for the new T@B. In sharp competition with the others, Isabella won supremely.
The objective was to design a sun canopy, which would in every way compliment the new tear-drop shaped design from Tabbert.
"We are both proud and pleased to have won the competition for manufacturing the sun canopy for this innovative caravan” says head of R&D at Isabella, Peder Odgaard ”I alone cannot take credit for the design and the many interesting details, because our whole team of experienced employees have contributed ideas to develop what has become the finished product”.
The sun-canopy is tailored for the asymmetrical T@B, in coated polyester with a three-coloured print inside especially developed for T@B. On the outside the sun-canopy is coated with a semi - transparent UV-resistant acrylic laquer, that prolongs the colour endurance for many years.
The shaped aluminium tube-frame, which is erected in a zipped-pocket in the front edge of the sun-canopy gives the canopy its characteristic curved and asymmetrical shape. The aluminium rafter poles are telescopic and the latest ”Microadjust” system, ensures that the canopy stands tight and steady, and is easy to erect.
The rafter poles are attached to the tube-frame with a cup mounting and specially developed TabbOn-system, which does not require the use of screws.
An extra detail is that the 370 cm long storm-guy also is a combined tape measure, which indicates the correct distance between the aluminium-legs.
The T@B canopy weighs 6,7 kg in total, it comes with an exclusive carrying bag with separate compartments for frame and canopy, and can be purchased at all T@B Isabella dealers.
