A tough awning for tough times…

The classic Isabella Ambassador awning remains a firm favourite with Europe’s caravanners, continuous improvements over the past 25 years, have meant that the classic 2.5 metre deep awning has not only held on to its market position, but actually increased sales right across Europe.

In addition to continuous development, an essential part of the secret behind the success of the Danish Ambassador awning is its exceptionally high quality, both in terms of materials, workmanship and ease of use.

The recently launched 2008 model certainly bears witness to the fact that the Ambassador lives happily on. The old merits have been retained, while the window sections in the front have been extended right to the roof. The larger windows give a bright, welcoming interior. All panels, sides and fronts, feature full-length zips, this means that panels can be easily removed for assembly and to create a sun canopy. The door sections, six in total, can be rolled back for easy access and a neat entrance with the zips protected. Without un-pegging the panels they can be folded over for extra ventilation by creating a veranda effect with the pole supplied. There are also ventilation nets in both front sections. Together with the large mosquito net panel in the right-hand side, these create a comfortable indoor climate reducing condensation.

The wide canopy on the front extends as far as the ground on both sides. This provides shelter from the wind and weather, and protects against dirty rainwater running off the awning roof.

The roof is made of the best and strongest coated polyester with a practical pattern on the inside. The front and sides are made of heavy-duty 295 gram fibre-dyed acrylic, while the base is a mixture of polyester and PVC, which makes it easy to clean. The colours are practical and timeless in tweed/sky blue with a sand-coloured roof.

A wide range of accessories are also available for the Ambassador. Permanent pitch caravanners may be interested in aluminium gutters that protect the sides of the awning. Caravanners who need a lot of extra space can add an optional annex in one or both sides. If the annex is to function as an additional bedroom, Isabella has an inner tent which is easily erected inside the annex or awning itself. A sun canopy that extends the entire width of the awning is available for those who require additional shade at the front. There is a partition wall to divide the awning into two sections, creating a closed room and a sun area.
