Gammelbro Camping offers a wealth of activities for all ages, whatever the weather. Should the sun be hiding, the whole family can enjoy fun hours in the water park with games and relaxation. The campsite also has an indoor playground, mini golf and tennis courts, so there's always something to do.
Fishing in Lillebælt
Lillebælt is known for its excellent fishing waters. Just a few hundred meters from the campsite you'll find ideal spots for coastal fishing for sea trout and garfish.
If you want to try your luck on the open sea, there are also good opportunities to catch cod and flatfish.
SUP boarding along the coast
Experience the coast from a new angle with Stand Up Paddling (SUP). Gammelbro Camping rents inflatable SUP boards complete with life jacket and adjustable paddle, so you can easily sail out and maybe even spot a porpoise.
For the more experienced, take a day trip into Haderslev Fjord and enjoy the magnificent scenery.
Camino Haderslev Næs
For hiking enthusiasts, Camino Haderslev Næs offers a 106 km long route that connects 9 beautiful churches in the South Jutland landscape.
The route offers varied nature experiences through fields and forests, along hills and water. Start at Haderslev Cathedral and end at the same place, after a journey past 9 South Jutland churches and through Dyrehaven and along Haderslev Dam.
The harbor town of Årøsund
The small harbor town of Årøsund is the only place on the Little Belt where fish is still shipped in for sale at the fish market in Hvidesande. From Årøsund, caviar is exported to countries such as Japan, USA and Australia. Next door to the fish factory is the old boatbuilding factory, which keeps the old craftsmanship traditions alive.
Customers and other interested parties are welcome to look over the shoulders of the boat builders. By the harbor you will also find Årøsund Badehotel - a beautiful building from the 1930s. Restaurant Skipperstuen is located on the ground floor of Årøsund Badehotel, a few meters from the beach, and is open most of the year.
