We love France - we had to leave Bordeaux where we tasted not only good wine but also tried Cognac. From one wine region we were directly driving to the next the Loire Valley.
After a last night in Spain on a truck stop we entered the beautiful south of France. Driving through alleyways and beach villages full of people we recognized the big difference between traveling in Europe in spring or in summer, the high season.
An exiting start to a new country, Monacco. Of course we wanted to see the harbour with all the big yachts. And as the Formular race is soon we drove with our Camp-let a little round on the track ;) But soon we left the Côte d'Azur to drive inland. Our destination was Draguignan in the beautiful Provence.
In Croatia we saw it the first time and many more stops followed, because we liked it so much, the crystal blue water of the Mediterranean Sea. First we stopped at an unknown beach and of course we had to swim. But though the water looked so nice it was really cold (we checked later it was 12 degrees). So we spent the next to days discovering Istrien with its beautiful villages Porec, Rovinj and Pula. If we could, we would have stayed longer but Italy was waiting for us.
