Spare part for end stops on your awning zips

Zip stoppers – or end stops – are located at the end of each zip and ensure that the slider stops correctly and the zip doesn’t come apart. As the zip is one of the most used parts of an awning, these end stops can wear out over time. Replacing them is a small job that makes a big difference – both for the functionality and the lifespan of your awning. Replacing the end stops in time prevents the slider from slipping off and reduces strain on both the zip and the fabric.

How to replace zip stoppers:

1. Note that the right and left stoppers are different (see figur 1).
2. Insert a flat screwdriver between the fabric and the stopper. Twist gently to open and remove the stopper (see figur 2).
3. Apply contact adhesive where the new stopper will sit (f1), and push it into place (f2) (see figur 3).
4. Squeeze the stopper firmly in place with flat pliers or similar (see figur 4).

You may also need to replace the zip sliders (900060029) if the zip no longer closes properly.
